Notice is hereby given that the Town of Irvington Planning Commission has a seat to be filled. The Town Council is currently seeking applications from qualified residents interested in serving on the Planning Commission.
Any citizen who is registered to vote in the Town of Irvington and wishes to be considered for appointment should submit a letter of interest by email to Charles Dyson, Town Clerk, at cdyson@irvingtonva.gov no later than July 1, 2026.

The Planning Commission holds regular meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the conference room located next to the Town Office (4507 Irvington Road, Irvington, VA). From time to time, the Commission may also hold special called meetings or joint meetings with the Town Council.
Prospective applicants should carefully consider the time commitment associated with this position. Pursuant to Code of Virginia § 15.2-2212, Planning Commission members are expected to maintain regular attendance and active participation. The statute provides that a member who is absent from more than three consecutive meetings, or from more than four meetings within any twelve-month period, may be subject to removal from office.
