It is with sincere regret that we announce the resignation of Frederick Johnson from his position as Town Council Member. Mr. Johnson has submitted his resignation from the Town Council in order to focus on his work-life balance.
Town Council is currently seeking applications for an interim appointee. Any interested citizen registered to vote in the Town of Irvington and wishing to serve as an interim appointee on Town Council should email a letter of interest to Charles Dyson, Town Clerk, by September 12th, 2025, at cdyson@irvingtonva.gov.
A special election will also be held on Nov 3, 2026, to select a Council Member who will serve the remainder of the term (from Jan 2027 to Dec of 2028). The interim appointee will serve on Town Council until the Nov 3, 2026 election results are certified.
